I had not previously attempted to dine at Rose’s Luxury because I was not up to standing in line to make a reservation and I never got around to hiring a line stander. Debbie and I had eaten at Pineapple and Pearls (WW #159-12/2017) which is located next door which we thoroughly enjoyed. Both restaurants are owned by Aaron Silverman. Debbie and I went to Arroz with Decker and Sherry. It has been open since March in the Marriot Marquis Convention Hotel lobby.

Debbie and I went to Momofuku with Florence and Peter on a Saturday night.
The main door of the restaurant is actually on 11th Avenue at the corner of 11th and “I” street. It shares an entrance with an ice cream specialty shop called Milk Bar. There is a closed street along the “I” Street side and there is an area for outdoor dining which was not being used the night we were there. Continue reading “Restaurant: Momofuku CCDC”
Debbie and I went to Convivial at the suggestion of Decker and Sherry. Convivial means “fond of feasting, eating and good company, cheerful, friendly and jovial.” This restaurant is all of those things. Continue reading “Restaurant: Convivial”
Hilary, Debbie and I went to the new Lupo Verde Osteria on May 14th just a month after it opened. This is the second restaurant opened by the folks who opened the original Lupo Verde on 14th Street.
The Lupo restaurants have been described by others as “soulful Italian cooking.” Continue reading “Restaurant: Lupo Verde Osteria”
Debbie and I went to Centrolina for dinner with Tony. (This was my second visit. Previously I had lunch there with Mike.) Continue reading “Restaurant: Centrolina”
This restaurant is located in the new Line Hotel. The hotel has been created in what was once the First Church of Christ Scientist to which a seven story addition has been built. The hotel is located on the corner of Euclid and Champlain Streets in Adams Morgan. Continue reading “Restaurant: A Rakes Progress”
Gwen, Debbie and I went to Bibiana for dinner on a Friday night.
The food was very good but the service was exceptional. (I had previously dined at Bibianna for lunch with David.) Continue reading “Restaurant: Bibiana”
A regular reader of the Washington Watch joined me at Rare Steak and Seafood on I Street in D.C. but has not yet seen a review even though it is several Watch editions later. Because he has bugged me about this several times I remind him and all others who may be interested in the WW restaurant review policy. Continue reading “Restaurant: Rare Steak and Seafood (Not a Review)”
Debbie and I went to Succotash with Bev and Brady.
