How interested are folks in this election? Here are three cuts at that question.

On a scale of 1 to 10 where 10 is very interested:

  • 58% of Americans are currently expressing a level of interest at 9 and 10.
  • Just prior to the 2014 election 50% expressed interest at a 9-10 level.
  • In 2010 the 9-10 level of interest was 61%.

  • 55% of registered voters are “extremely/very” enthusiastic about voting for Congress this year.
  • At roughly this time in 2014, 30% of registered voters were “extremely/very” enthusiastic about voting and
  • In 2010, 42% were enthusiastic about voting.
