63% of Americans say the country is on the wrong track while 28% say it is headed in the right direction. The wrong track number has grown by 7% since December when 56% said it was on the wrong track. [NBC/WSJ 1/23/19]

26% of Americans are satisfied with the way things are going in the United States at this time. The dissatisfied rate is 72%. This is the lowest satisfaction rate and the highest dissatisfaction rate since November 2017. [Gallup] Continue reading “State of the Nation”

Restaurant: 1310 Kitchen & Bar

1310 Kitchen & Bar and DeCarlo’s represent the new and the not so new with both comfort and good food in common.


Remember the Daily Grill? (WW Aug 2005) Its Georgetown location closed sometime last year and 1310 Kitchen & Bar opened in its space on the main floor of the Georgetown Inn.

The executive chef and operator is Jenn Crovato. Crovato has a long successful culinary career in D.C., including time at Galileo, Susan Gage Catering, as a personal chef and doing independent catering. She also trained in Italy. Continue reading “Restaurant: 1310 Kitchen & Bar”
